BESTFRIEND

A best friend came unexpectedly. When no one was left to help you, when no one understands you and no one was there to listen to you. When you are lonely, she does all she can just to make you happy. Listens to all your problems and gave some advice. She could be your shoulder to cry on and understands what you’re going through. When you were happy, she’s also happy for you.

With her, you can be your true self. You can be as weird or as crazy you can think as.  You could try many things for the first time, do crazy and silly things and spend much time together. You can love each other like you two are real sisters. Do the best bonding and support one another in each success. Share every secret you have and make code names for some other person.

Having a best friend is really a blessing because you were not praying to have one but then she came. Feels like you have another sister that is much closer to you.

I am thankful that I have a best friend, who’s always there, who never leaves me through my ups and down. She’s always there to keep me strong and makes me happy. She’s one of the great persons I met. She accepts who I am and let me be just me. I love her because I know, she is my twin sister J

MOTHER

A mother is really important in one’s life. They are the ones who took care and give us love since we were on their womb. They gave us their time and attention when we are growing up. Gave us what we need and want. They are also our first teacher who taught us the alphabet, numbers, shapes and colors. They send us to school and wait outside until it’s our time to go home. Support us in our school activities and they’re the first who felt happy when we have achievements. Doing all she can to provide us the best education they could give and support us until we graduated. They also support us in our love life but stood against the one they know couldn't give us a good life or will only bring miserable life to us. Because mothers only want what is best for us. Until we got married, they are still on our side whenever we need help. But let you stand independently for your own family. No mother can resist her children, hence, she would help until she could. These are what mothers really do and a mother is really important in one’s life.

BROKEN

Is it true that after happiness is sadness? That the amount of your happiness today will also be the amount of your sadness after? If that’s the case, no one would prefer to be very happy.

 

But in love, sometimes, that thing/issue exists. That after being so happy today, you would feel so much pain tomorrow. But that is based on who will leave, who will stay, who can pass the tests and who does the fault.

Being in relationship brings happiness, sadness, headache, pain, etc. but usually, a couple who are in a relationship is most of the time happy. That’s why many relationships turns into a long-term relationship or what we are called marriage. As the quote says, “the moment you realize you want to spend the rest of your life with someone, you want the rest of your life to begin immediately.”

But why does pain is the twin of love? That if you fall in love, you must be ready to experience pain. I thought maybe even if you don’t intend to hurt someone, you may do it unnoticeable. Being hurt emotionally may compare to the hurt we feel because of a physical wound. It is very hard to experience pain especially being rejected and being left by the one you love. There are many reasons why these things occur but one thing for sure is a great pain will be felt after.

 

It’s easy to fall in love but moving on from someone you love is hard. It’s as hard as what suicidal person feels. A great pain which is like your heart is breaking into pieces literally. Your life will change, from the way you wake up in the morning until the way you sleep at night. No one can understand how much pain you feel thus you just want to give up. You feels like there is no tomorrow, no future for the both of you.

The hardest part of being hurt is the fact that you need to move on and continue living your life. Nothing will happen if you continue to sulk inside your room. An advice of how to move on I remembered most is this; “No one really forgets, they just used being hurt, and if they are used to it, that’s the time they accept the fact that the one they love is not really meant for them.”

LIMERICK

A limerick is a humorous poem consisting of five lines. The first, second and fifth lines must have seven to ten syllables while rhyming and having the same verbal rhythm. The third and fourth lines only have to have five to seven syllables, and have to rhyme with each other and have the same rhythm.

HOW TO WRITE

GHOST STORIES

- Fear is the hardest thing to provoke in writing. Making a ghost story is effective if it is realistic and it would be better if you really experienced it.

-         BRAINSTORMING

Think of what is it all about and how it starts. Be original. Find an idea and start expanding this idea into scenes and into writing the ghost stories. You can also do the story board and number each scenes according on what you want. You have to make an eye-catching beginning, a breathless middle and a satisfying ending.

-         SETTINGS

Create a plausible and believable setting. The ghost story requires the reader to be shown the atmosphere, not told. The setting is not required to be creepy. It can be a common place with uncommon scenes.

-         PLOT

A ghost story needs a plot. Think about the best way t scare your audience. Create a mystery. All great ghost stories have a mystery behind them. Take an ordinary situation and inject something extraordinary. You may also involve figuring out who the ghost is. Don’t present a ghost without a background.

-         BODY

Readers need to be removed from their cozy surroundings and brought into the spooky world of ghosts. Look for emotional aspect in a story and add some high emotional states to reiterate how scared the reader should be. Character should have some element of fear that the reader can be made to feel along with him. Show the emotion through the character’s action, rather than simply telling the reader how the characters feel. Then end the story with a question in the mind of your readers.

-         TITLE

Make a title that fits to your story.

DEMOCRACY

Our vehicle passed by a thousand of people yelling at Batasang Pambansa. I got curious so I go out of the car and went near them. "Ibaba sa pwesto!", “Ibaba ang Pangulo!" that was the majority of the people is saying. Every term, every SONA of each President, this was the situation in this place. People are always complaining; because of they don't feel the progress, they still experienced poverty, plenty are still unemployed, the officials are corrupt, they used the money of people/mass for the personal use, etc.

I just thought, why do they put the blame on the President? Isn't success starts in one? One needs to be hard working and persevere to obtain success. If they don't want to remain poor, they must give their best in what they do so that success will chase them. Instead of blaming the administration, why don't they blame themselves?  I know there are lots of opportunities that were given to us. All we need to do is to have faith in God, and confidence in ourselves so we could escape from poverty. I believe in the saying “Nasa Dios ang awa, nasa tao ang gawa.” If we continue to depend our fate in God, and we don’t do anything, nothing will happen. If God has mercy, the acts are on us to do.

Instead of having an impeachment rally, why don’t we help our President? The important is he is not corrupting and the anomalies were also exposed in his term. He also built some schools in far places and really helps on the education in the country. Those people don’t know the hardship of being a President, he’s not only the one who’s implementing and holding the different agencies in the country. What if he did and implements what is right but officials under him were not? Is it still his fault? None of us is perfect; there are kind of people who are abusive. They don’t mind whatever would the effect just to be rich, though that money doesn’t belong to them.

Those who interrogate the President are the ones who are in rush to feel the progress of the country. But how will the country progresses if we don’t help to make it happen? How can we promote tourism if we are the ones who destroy it? There are lots of rich students to have the opportunity to study yet they don’t study hard. Why don’t they help the poor? But some poor became abusive if someone helps them. How can we feel the progress if we’ll just be dependent on the government officials? If they want change, one needs to move/act to change what isn’t right. To change what is usual/accustomed in the former leaders. Success comes from oneself and it must start from the youth because youth is the hope of the countrymen.

Philippine Arena became trending nationwide because of its size, thus claimed as the World's Largest Indoor Arena. It is multi-purpose and located at Ciudad de Victoria with a maximum capacity of 55,000 seats. Built upon the celebration of Iglesia Ni Cristo's centennial anniversary on July 27, 2014. Philippine President Benigno Aquino III and Iglesia Ni Cristo Executive Minister Eduardo Manalo brought to light the marker of Ciudad de Victoria.

 The Philippine Arena was made entirely from INC members' voluntary offerings because they consider giving offerings as a duty and not as a donation. They can see clearly where their money goes. It is a source of pride not only of all INC members but the Filipinos as well. It is also twice the size of the largest arenas in US and Europe and can also withstand an Earthquake. Our country can now have more international events such as Southeast Asian games or Asian games. As for INC Executive Minister Eduardo V. Manalo says; the Philippine Arena can be used not only by the church but by the public in general whether for local or international events.

Being a member of the church is an honor especially when I am a part of this historical event. It is very heart whelming and I feel blessed and proud about it. We will continue to serve God in all that we do and praise his name for this wonderful gift. To God be all the glory.

IF ONLY



If only is a film that chronicles a day of Ian Wyndham (Paul Nichols) an English businessman and his American musician girlfriend, Samantha Andrews (Jennifer Love Hewitt). In the beginning of the day, we can saw that Ian takes Samantha for granted making Sam feeling vulnerable in the role of the one who loves more. Ian was busy thinking about his business and meetings. His character was just being seen through Samantha's eyes. At the end of the day, Sam burst out and they ended up their relationship. Sam walked out of the restaurant and ride a cab that eventually causes her death. Grieving, Ian went back to their apartment and fall asleep holding Sam's notebook. When he wakes up, he found Sam beside him and that scares him. That's when he realizes that all of that was a dream but seems so real.

In the half of the movie, Ian relives the day and fights over confusion, followed by realization, then discovers acceptance of what is happening and what was going to happen. It is the part when the character of Ian is predominant where he appeared in all of the scenes. Having knowledge in the upcoming events, Ian tries to change the faith. But as the day progresses, all of what happened the day before was actually happening. So he then shows how much he loves his girlfriend. He takes good care of her, do the things his girlfriend always wanted and appreciated. He is scared, really scared not to tell her that she's going to die that day.

How do you fight destiny? the answer seems to lie with a mysterious taxi driver (Tom Wilkinson) whose only advise to Ian is to appreciate Samantha. At the end of the day, after doing all he can to show Sam all his love, Ian change what was going to happen.

The movie was great. At first, you'll just think that the ending was predictable. But the writer, Welsh, and director Gil Junger gave a twist at the end. This movie manages to keep you hooked throughout. You are hoping through out and praying silently for the worst not to happen.

This is one of the movies that has a marked on me, and I will never get tired of watching this. This movie can make the audience realize that they must learn to love and appreciate the ones who loves them. They would realize that life is really important, every minute, every second is unpredictable.

So if you want to show someone how much they mean to you, do it immediately for you not to have regrets when you realize it's too late to do such. Because not all of us were given a chance to make up for our stupidity.

MEMOIR 

FIRST LOVE

Do you ever experience losing someone very special because of death? If you do, how does it feel? Do you felt like something is missing? Or do you felt your world stops because you never think that would happen? Do you felt the pain? Did you feel lost? Or do you have rumbled emotions? I don’t know, you don’t know, we really don’t know.

When I was in elementary, I had a crush on the treasurer of our class because of his smile, kindness, funny jokes, intelligence, etc. Even when we were already in high school, I know I still like him. Time has passed, though I saw him with different girls, I still have special feelings for him. After we graduated from high school, we had our separate lives. I go to college and he works for his family. We don’t have any means of communication except facebook. We are so busy in our own lives, a reason why we don’t have any news about each other. Until one day....

I was on my 2^nd year in college back then when one of my old classmates texts a group message stated “bakit mo kami iniwan agad? L” I was curious and asked him why. He answered “si Audrey.. wala na si Audrey”. I was dumbfounded back then and I felt like my world stops. I don’t know how to react but still I managed to text him “is it true? But how?” he replied “Because of motor accident”. My tears started to fall. He, my long time crush... has just passed away.

We went to his wake; my old classmates were also there to give their sympathy. I can’t still believe what happened. He looks like sleeping on his coffin. I know he still has a place in my heart. I don’t know why I felt so much pain that I can’t stop myself from crying. Rumbled emotions came through me. I feel lost; a part of me was missing. A part of my heart was gone. Since then I realized, he was my first love.

Two years had passed but every time I remember that matter, I still became lonely but tried my best to forget it. Though he only had a short life, I am still thankful he became a part of my journey and I had good memories with him. I, his family, his friends, and his workmates will always remember the goodness he brought into our lives and it will remain in our hearts.

mainly in facebook where in you have sent a message to someone,
then you were not able to receive a reply, 
when in fact he/she has seen or read the message.

Have you experienced being seen zoned?
That you didn't have enough strength to talk to someone you love?
That you couldn't tell what you feel?
If you do, then you felt the same way as I did before.
Being seen zoned gives happiness and pain all at the same time.
It has a total difference with being friend zone because they can still be close
to the one they love.
You just do not have the guts and initiative to voice out your true feelings
that might bring greater pain to you.
But still you are hoping that someday there would be
a chance for both of you.

FEATURE ARTICLE ( TEACHING TODDLERS)

“I love you teacher.”

This heart melting line from your students is the best gift you can receive from them. Come to think of teaching toddlers, the word ‘hard’ may come first into your mind unless you like them. But do you ever try teaching them? Or you know to yourself you don’t have the patience needed?

Teaching toddlers (children ages 4-6 years) is a wonderful experience.

It is difficult. It requires patience but happiness is also a factor, especially when you become close to them.

Difficult at first but if you started to have their trust and attention, eventually it will become easy.

Also, you need to have the patience to withstand the short attention span of your students.

You need to use different strategies to sustain their attention.

Sometimes, being strict towards your students is necessary to show them you’re authority in class.

 

I'm happy to teach children and I was really having fun at the same time.

Especially when I teach them nursery rhymes with actions, they’re so happy, cuddling and dancing.

Also when you see that they are learning and they are happy to have stars stamps on their hands.

I can still recall the time I teach children every summer. Their favorite time in class are recess, singing and dancing time, coloring time and of course dismissal. You may often hear these lines from them; “teacher, di ko po kaya.”, or “teacher, dip o ako marunong.” But eventually, after several times of teaching, you may not hear it then especially when you cheer them that they can.

When we are going to write a letter in the alphabet, I will tell them to get their blue notebook. You may hear them saying “teacher, blue?” or “teacher, ganito?” then they will point out the yellow one. I’ll tell them “no, the blue one.” Then point out and raise a blue notebook.

But the lines that you may often hear everyday are; “teacher, pagkatapos nito, kakain na?” or “teacher, pagtapos nito uuwi na?” or “teacher, pagtapos nito, tutulog na?” ‘cause I’ll tell them to sleep after finishing their work and it is already time to go home, then they will bow they’re head into their desk and act like sleeping.

These are the happy moments of being a teacher. If you will love your work, especially your students, they will love you back.

Teaching requires compassion and hard work.

Teaching toddlers builds the foundation of their future.

The things that you will teach them may affect the way how they carry on their studies in the future.

As Jim Henson said, "[kids] don't remember what you try to teach them.

They remember what you are."

A glamorous beauty you cannot hide

GOAL

Each of us has a goal to achieve

It takes time and patience

And must go through step by step.

Barriers and failure may come into ones way

But you should not give up

And must continue fighting.

Give the best out of it and be persevere,

And of course have faith in God,
